1. Who We Are
NonLeagueSponsor is the data controller for personal data collected through this platform. We operate an online marketplace connecting grassroots football clubs with local business sponsors.
Contact us about data protection matters at: privacy@nonleaguesponsor.com [contact email placeholder — will be finalised at launch].
2. What Data We Collect
- Account data: your email address, name, and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Club or sponsor profile data: club name, league, division, location, sponsorship tier and amounts, logo, and any profile descriptions you provide.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and error logs — used to improve the platform.
- Cookies: see Section 5 below.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the platform (legal basis: contract performance).
- To personalise your experience, such as showing relevant listings (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- To send transactional notifications, such as new message alerts (legal basis: contract performance).
- To send optional marketing communications, only with your consent (legal basis: consent).
4. AI Data Processing Disclosure
When you use our AI-powered features (such as generating a sponsorship listing or club profile), your inputs — including bullet points, profile details, and any other text you provide — are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing.
By using AI features you consent to this processing. Anthropic does not retain your data for model training purposes. For full details, see Anthropic's privacy policy.
We minimise the data sent to the API — only the content needed to generate the requested output is transmitted. Your account credentials are never sent to the API.
5. Cookie Policy
Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the platform to function. They include session cookies and authentication tokens. You cannot opt out of necessary cookies.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, we set analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. This helps us improve the platform. You can decline these via the cookie banner.
Advertising cookies (optional)
With your consent, we may set advertising cookies to show relevant sponsorship opportunities. You can decline these via the cookie banner. Choosing “Necessary only” disables both analytics and advertising cookies.
6. Data Retention
Account and profile data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is soft-deleted immediately (treated as deleted in all platform queries) and fully removed from our systems within 30 days.
Usage and analytics data is retained for up to 13 months then deleted automatically.
7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten). See Section 8.
- Right to restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Right to data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@nonleaguesponsor.com. We will respond within one calendar month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
8. Account Deletion
You can delete your account from the Settings page within your dashboard. Once you confirm deletion:
- Your account is soft-deleted immediately — you will be signed out.
- Your profile and listings will no longer be visible on the platform.
- Your personal data will be fully removed from our systems within 30 days.
If you change your mind before the 30-day removal window closes, contact us at privacy@nonleaguesponsor.com and we can restore your account.
